Carpet Cleaning in Berkshire and London
Deep cleaning for fitted carpets, stairs, hallways and rugs on the floor. We lift ground-in soil from traffic lanes, treat marked areas first and groom the pile so the carpet looks even when we leave.
Tell us about the carpets
Carpet cleaning that reaches past the surface
Carpet cleaning is the process of removing dry soil, body oils and spillage residue that a vacuum cleaner leaves behind in the pile. Most carpets that look tired are not worn out, they are loaded with grit and greasy film that dulls the colour and flattens the fibres.
The service suits families with young children or pets, tenants and landlords at the end of a tenancy, and anyone preparing a room for guests or a sale. It also helps with traffic lanes in hallways, marks around dining chairs and odours that have settled into the pile.
We choose the method after looking at the carpet rather than before. Fibre type, backing, how heavily soiled the carpet is and how quickly the room needs to be usable all change what is sensible to do, which is why we inspect first and explain what we are going to do.
Carpet cleaning done carefully
Suitable treatment for the fibre
Wool, polypropylene and nylon all react differently to heat, moisture and pH. We identify the fibre before choosing a solution.
Professional equipment
Commercial extraction lifts soil and moisture out of the pile rather than leaving it sitting in the backing.
Pre-treatment on soiled areas
Traffic lanes and marked patches are treated and given time to work before the main clean begins.
Clear pricing
The price is agreed before we start, based on the rooms and condition you have described to us.
Tidy, careful work
Furniture is protected where it is moved, skirting boards are kept clean and hoses are run so doorways stay usable.
Aftercare advice
We explain how long to stay off the carpet, how to ventilate the room and what to do if a mark reappears.
Five steps, every job
The same five steps run on every carpet. What changes between jobs is the solution, the dwell time and the amount of moisture we use.
Inspect
We check the fibre, the backing, the state of the traffic lanes and any marks, then tell you what we expect to shift.
Pre-treat
Dry soil is removed first, then a suitable pre-spray is applied to soiled areas and left to work on the greasy film.
Clean
The carpet is cleaned with the method the fibre can take, working in overlapping passes so nothing is missed.
Dry
Extra extraction passes pull moisture back out. We advise on ventilation rather than quote a fixed drying time.
Final check
We groom the pile, walk round the room with you and point out anything that did not fully respond.

DESIGN PLACEHOLDERHow we clean a carpet
No single method suits every carpet. These are the approaches we use and when each one makes sense.
Hot water extraction
Heated solution is injected into the pile and drawn straight back out with the loosened soil. It suits most synthetic fitted carpets and heavily used rooms.
Less suitable for: delicate natural fibres and carpets where a jute backing could be affected by the moisture.
Low moisture cleaning
A compound or encapsulating solution lifts soil with far less water. Useful for wool, for offices that need to stay in use and for rooms that cannot be out of action.
Less suitable for: very heavily soiled carpets where soil needs flushing out rather than encapsulating.
Spot and stain treatment
Individual marks are treated with the solution that matches the spill, whether that is a protein, tannin, oil or dye-based mark.
Honest limit: dye transfer, bleach marks and heat damage cannot be cleaned out. We say so before starting.

Carpet cleaning FAQs
A single room is usually quick, while stairs, hallways and whole properties take longer. We give you a time estimate with the quote so you can plan around it.
That depends on the fibre, the method used, the room temperature and the ventilation. We will tell you what to expect for your carpet instead of publishing a fixed figure.
Clearing small and breakable items helps. Tell us in advance about anything heavy and we will agree what gets moved before we arrive.
Many pet marks improve a great deal with the right treatment. Where urine has soaked into the underlay the odour can return, and we will tell you if that looks likely.
Wool needs a gentler pH and less moisture than a synthetic carpet. We identify the fibre first and use a method suited to it.
Yes. End of tenancy carpet cleaning is common work for us and we can provide a receipt for the letting agent.
Pricing depends on the number of rooms, the area covered and how soiled the carpet is. Prices for this page are still to be confirmed, so please ask for a quote.
